As per the information received from reliable sources, Today (14.09.2023) at about 13:05 hours a team of officers and forces of STF, WB were able to intercept one Truck bearing Regt. No. WB78-5946 near rail Ghumti, Coochbehar which was occupied by two persons namely Iyanur Rahaman (M-37 yrs.) S/O Jamal Uddin Mia, of Nagarerbari, Chaderkutti, PS Dinhatta, Cochbehar-736168 at present residing at a rented house of Mominur Rahaman 141 Kamar Changrabandha, Panishala PS Mekhligunj District Coochbehar (Driver) and Md. Abdul Matalip (M-34 yrs) S/O MD Tomba Urup, Khunou, PO Lilong, PS. Iralbung, Imphal East-795130.
On examination they confessed to be in conscious possession of Yaba tablets and Brown Sugar.
The detained truck along with the detained persons were taken to the Kotwali PS, Coochbehar for further process.
Following all the formalities and guidelines the team were able to recover 4.013 Kgs of Yaba Tablets which were concealed in a Spare tyre of the truck and 1.12 Kg of Brown Sugar.
Both the accused persons and seized alamat will be produced at Kotwali PS, Coochbehar with a formal complaint.
Value of the seized articles approximately Rs. 1.4 crores
