The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has announced a nationwide protest on October 28 against government's decision to disinvest public sector enterprises. All India Secretary of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Girishchandra Arya said, "The Coordination Committee of BMS has decided to oppose the government's decision to disinvest public sector enterprises. All trade unions identified for the movement should oppose this policy of the government, but they chose to remain silent. Therefore, we have decided to hold a nationwide dharna." He added that he has invited people from steel, power, telecom, banks, insurance sectors including NHPL, BSNL and BHEL for the dharna.
